Scope

This privacy policy applies to the current release of KinKan on iPhone and iPad.

If Keetane Lab publishes another app with different data handling, that app will have its own privacy policy or a clearly updated version of this page.

Information We Collect

KinKan does not collect personal data from the app for analytics, advertising, or third-party crash reporting in the initial release.

  • App data such as child profiles, chores, allowance history, goal settings, language settings, and UI preferences is stored locally on the device.
  • The initial release does not use a third-party analytics SDK.
  • The initial release does not use a third-party advertising SDK.
  • The initial release does not send app-entered data to Keetane Lab servers.

Based on the current release behavior, KinKan is intended to be submitted in App Store Connect as an app that does not collect data from the app.

Files and Exported Data

KinKan provides backup export and import flows through the Files interface.

When a person exports a backup, they choose the save location, which may be on the device or in a cloud-backed location such as iCloud Drive or another supported file provider.

That destination is chosen and controlled by the person using the app. Keetane Lab does not operate its own cloud sync service for KinKan in the initial release.

Crash Information

Keetane Lab may review crash information made available through Apple's standard developer tools, such as App Store Connect, TestFlight, or Xcode Organizer.

KinKan does not use a separate third-party crash reporting SDK in the initial release.

Purchases and Advertising

Advertising is disabled in the initial release of KinKan.

In-app purchases are disabled in the initial release of KinKan.

If advertising or paid features are enabled in a future release, this privacy policy will be updated before or with that release.

Children's Data

KinKan is designed for family use and may be used by parents together with children.

In the initial release, data entered in the app remains on the device or in a user-chosen backup destination and is not sent to Keetane Lab servers by the app.

Data Deletion

Because KinKan stores app data locally, users can remove app data from within the app where available or by deleting the app and its local data from the device.

If a person exported a backup to Files, they can also remove that exported file from the location they chose.
